Karine Bannelier-Christakis
Karine Bannelier-Christakis is Associate Professor in International Law at the University Grenoble Alpes (France). She is Deputy Director of the Grenoble Alpes Cybersecurity Institute and Deputy Director of the Chair Legal and Regulatory Implications of Artificial Intelligence at the Multidisciplinary In statute on Artificial Intelligence (MIAI). She has published widely in the field of international law and cybersecurity. Her expertise activities include: Member of the Steering Committee of the French Government Initiative on Cyber-Security in charge of the scientific coordination of the International Conference Building International Peace and Security in Cyberspace (UNESCO 2017); Collaboration to the French Cyber-Defense Strategy (2018); Member of the ICRC International Group of Experts Avoiding Civilian Harm from Military Cyber Operations during Armed Conflicts (2020); Legal expertise for the French National gendarmerie on Legal issues of non-cooperative geolocation techniques for the protection of human life (2019-2020); Member of the OECD Informal expert group on ‘Responsible Response’; Legal expert on cyber issues for the French Ministry of Armies (2020-2021).
