Col. (GS) Bernd B. Hansen has been the Branch Head Cyberspace at NATO HQ SACT since August 2021, responsible for NATO Cyberspace Policy, Plans and Concepts, Common Funded Capability and Education and Training Development. Before that, he was Branch Head Cyberspace and IT Capabilities and Concepts at DEU Air Force Command.
Through 33 years active military duty he held assignments as Military Leader and Military Politics and Cyber /IT Staff assignments like Strategic Advisor and Speech Writer to Federal Minister.
Multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Mali, latest as Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, complement his military expertise.
