Lindsay Freeman is Director of the Technology, Law & Policy program at the Human Rights Center, UC Berkeley School of Law. She is an international criminal lawyer with experience at the International Criminal Court and Extraordinary Chambers in Cambodia, and expertise in digital evidence and investigations of atrocity crimes. Freeman led the drafting of the Berkeley Protocol on Digital Open Source Investigations, an international manual co-published with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). Previously, she worked as a prosecutor in San Francisco, and in the tech industry. She has an Adv. LLM from Leiden University, JD from University of San Francisco Law School and BA from Middlebury College.
