Neal Kushwaha is a recipient of the 2019 Royal Humane Silver Medal of Bravery and 2020 commendation from the Governor General of Canada, chairperson of the National Security Centre of Excellence (Canada), a guest lecturer, and a motivational multilingual speaker. He is also the founder of a Canadian consulting firm, IMPENDO Inc. (member of the Paris Call) serving governments and international agencies as clients. Aligned with his publications, his consulting and academic research fall within the cross-section of security, law, policy, and politics. While he is a prominent speaker at conferences on the global stage, it is his climbing that generates the most interest. He is an accomplished mountaineer with over 31 years of experience and climbs under the banner of Big Climbs, including Everest.
